The Greater Dayton Polar Bear Plunge (formerly Silver Lake) will be held on Saturday, March 14, 2009 Plungers are asked to raise a "bear" minimum of $75 to participate. Last year this event raised over $10,00 for Special Olympics Ohio and the athletes in Area 2. Join the fun and help us to raise more money for the deserving Special Olympics athletes in Ohio. The Greater Dayton plunge is one of eight Polar Plunge fundraising events in Ohio througout the months of January - March, 2009.
This year the event will be held at Watson's Pools in Centerville, Ohio. Plungers will be treated to a Post Plunge party immediately following at Barleycorn's in Sugar Creek. A block of rooms have been reserved at the Holiday Inn Express next to Watson's Pools. Plungers may make reservations by calling (937)424-5757 and specifying that you are with the Polar Bear Plunge. Room rates are $89/night and Special Olympics Ohio will receive $10 for each room reserved.
